Commissioner rules on incomplete rounds

The commissioner has determined that: [a] if a player fails to complete play on a hole they forfeit their individual match points and [b] in team aggregate stoke play competition, if a player fails to complete play on a hole their team forfeits the team match points.

The rules committee reconsidered their previous ruling on the desert areas on the west course at Eagle Valley Golf Course. You now have four options for playing balls in a desert area that addresses the need for expedient play and for NNGA members to post valid scores.

The rules committee met on April 6, 2007 and voted to disregard a local rule for Eagle Valley's west course that makes the "sagebrush areas" a lateral hazard because the local rule does not conform to the USGA rules.
